City still need convincing - Guardiola

Pep Guardiola revealed Vincent Kompany is back in training ahead of City's trip to Watford.

City beat a 10-man Liverpool side 5-0 last Saturday before opening their Champions League campaign with a 4-0 win over Feyenoord.

The Spanish manager also took time to refer to the case of another youngster, Jadon Sancho, who joined Borussia Dortmund in an £8m deal last month and said that the youngsters will have to learn the fact that at top level clubs chances will be limited and they will have to wait for their opportunity to play.

At Feyenoord on Wednesday, as at Bournemouth on 26 August, Guardiola found a way to play all three of his together, as Bernardo played on the right of the narrow front three.

Of course, Watford have been off to an impressive start of their own, now sitting in fourth place in the EPL and undefeated through four matches, including a pair of impressive wins over Southampton and Bournemouth, as well as stymieing Liverpool in a jaw-dropping 3-3 draw in their season opener. So it's much easier and much better to play alongside them.

"We have never won the Champions League and most of the players in this squad have never won the Premier League, so we want to win big things and together we hope we can get them".

In his first season at the helm in the Premier League, City failed to mount a serious Premier League challenge with the Sky Blues finishing third on the table. I was really impressed with their performance at Southampton last week where they dominated the first half. "With City, I feel now, we have good players that become a big team", he told reporters.

"That is the best I can offer or what I would like to give to my players, more than tactical issues". "I think in the next days he will be able to play again", added Guardiola. You have to do that.
