Amazon Studios head suspended after harassment allegations

An Amazon executive has reportedly been suspended from the company after a producer came forward with sexual harassment allegations against him.

That article included few specifics about Ms. Hackett's claims, with Ms. Hackett providing a statement that she did not "wish to discuss the details of this troubling incident with Roy except to say Amazon investigated immediately and with an outside investigator".

An Amazon studio executive is facing major sexual harassment accusations from a TV producer who claimed that he made extremely lewd comments to her during a studio party, saying: "You will love my d-k". An outside investigator, Christine Farrell of Public Interest Investigations Inc., was brought in and spoke to Hackett and executives at Amazon.

Hackett says Price did not relent in the cab or once they arrived at the Amazon party.

The allegations also come as explosive sexual assault allegation against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein continue to surface.

"I didn't want to distract or deflate the energies of all the people who are so invested in these shows, and all of that positivity", she told THR.

Amazon Studios head Roy Price has been put on a leave of absence, the content giant said Thursday.

Hackett is the daughter of author Philip K. Dick and a producer of Amazon's "Man in the High Castle", based on his work.

Those projects include a new series from "Mad Men" creator Matthew Wiener, titled "The Romanoffs".

The news comes as Amazon is now reviewing two expensive dramas the streamer has in the works from The Weinstein Co.in the wake of rape and sexual harassment allegations against former co-founder Harvey Weinstein.

"I told the head of your studio that HW raped me". Since then, she says she hasn't had any contact with Price. While other fare like Mozart in the Jungle, Sneaky Pete and One Mississippi have earned solid reviews, sources also say Amazon chairman Jeff Bezos was impatient for a Game of Thrones-style hit.
