Arsene Wenger: Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil could leave Arsenal in January

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that the Gunners could lose both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the January transfer window.

Interviewed by Chilean broadcast Radio ADN, PSG and Brazilian NT star right-back/midfielder Dani Alves talked about rumours having Arsenal main man Alexis Sanchez, former teammate of his at Barcelona FC, join French giants: "We've got some chances to sign him, and he might join us indeed".

Wenger said that there was no deadline on reaching agreement but, when asked if he could "cut" his losses in January, he said: "Once you are in our situation, you envisage every solution".

Wenger did brush off suggestions that Sanchez's mental fatigue would be a drawn out issue, and insists the attacker will be fully focused on Arsenal's success.

"It's always hard to have players like Alexis against you, with this quality and level but we've been concentrating the whole game and we've done a great job", the 34-year-old told Radio ADN.

"Both players are happy here".

Brazil's 3-0 victory in Sao Paulo meant La Roja failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, finishing sixth and missing out to Peru on a play-off spot. "It's possible", Wenger said. It was a very physical game.

Asked if he was anxious about Sanchez's mental state, Wenger said: "I will have to speak to him".

"Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow (Friday)".

Indeed, he's not only one of Arsenal's only world-class talents, he's among the best players in the Premier League. As mentioned within the article, a major boost for City would be that Arsenal are not in the Champions League this season and therefore Sanchez would not be cup-tied for the later stages.
