Huawei Honor 7X is official with 18:9 display & dual camera

The sales open October 17 in China.

The only change that differentiates from the recently launched Honor 9i is, that, the Honor 9i does feature dual front-facing camera which is missing in the Honor 7X.

Huawei owned Honor today announced the launch of its latest smartphone, the Honor 7X at an event in China. This year's Honor 6X offered dual cameras for under $200 United States dollars, and a new teaser from the company is promoting an upcoming handset with a staple feature from 2017 - a near bezel-less display.

The fingerprint scanner is rear-mounted and that's not because Honor is trying to keep it in the same spot as that of the 6X but because there is no space in front for it thanks to the 5.93-inch 18:9 display. It packs an Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor with MaliT830-MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM. The new Honor 7X comes in three different variants based on its internal storage configuration: Honor 7X with 32GB internal storage, Honor 7X with 64GB internal storage and Honor 7X with 128GB internal storage. The phone also supports 3D surround sound and is IP67-certified for splash resistance.

Among other specification, Honor 7X includes 16MP+2MP dual rear cameras, 8MP selfie camera and 3340 mAh battery. The secondary sensor on this device is used for calculating the depth in the image for offering better Bokeh effect. On the front, the Honor 7X comes with an 8-megapixel camera. The device also supports the company's SuperCharge fast charging technology with the help of a 9V/2A (18W) power adapter. In terms of operating system, the device offers Android 7.1 Nougat with custom EMUI 5.0 on the top. The Honor 7X also supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM card slot.

The Honor 7X, when it goes on sale, will be available in as many as three colours: Midnight Black, Platinum Gold, and Aurora Blue.
