"Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!", he tweeted.

India s sports minister Wednesday sought to reassure Australian cricketers about their safety after a rock shattered a window on the bus taking them to their hotel following a series-levelling win in the second Twenty20 global. The seat next to the window was unoccupied at the time.

Following the recent attack on the Australian cricket team bus in Guwahati last night, Indian Women's cricket captain Mithali Raj on Wednesday said it is not in a good taste.

Things turned ugly at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati after India's disheartening display in the second T20I. He said that the security personnel helped restore calmness and described the incident as 'pretty scary'. He talked about how Australian team and Federation Internationale de Football Association authorities are content with the security in the country and India will always remain a graceful host. "Personal security of visiting athletes & teams is extremely important for us", he said. Vow to take strictest action against the culprits.

"Really unfortunate incident after a great game aimed to tarnish Guwahati's reputation as emerging sports hub. Investigation is in full swing & Police have already picked up 2 suspects", Sonwal wrote.

In a similar incident, a small rock or stone was thrown at the Australian team's bus in September in Chittagong during their two-Test series against Bangladesh.

"So, whoever got indulged in the hooliganism did it on the sole objective of defaming Assam & derailing its journey towards the top". Everything was fine until yesterday, till the picture of broken window glass of the bus surfaced the Internet.

India and Australia will now head to Hyderabad to lock horns in the series-decider T-20 match of the three-match series, which is to be played on October 13 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
