Jose Mourinho to battle Chelsea for Tottenham star Danny Rose in January

Well, ESPN FC rates the realism of a few transfer rumors, and they gave Danny Rose to Old Trafford a 3.2/5.

Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is understood to be keen on the idea of moving to Manchester United next summer, despite ongoing links that suggest the England worldwide could be on his way to Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Star.

Despite the England international's undoubted quality, he hasn't exactly endeared himself to the Tottenham faithful recently, following his disparaging comments regarding the club's transfer activity during the summer transfer window.

The left-back was forced to make an apology and ended up staying at White Hart Lane but that hasn't stopped the newspapers from questioning his long-term future in north London.

If Mauricio Pochettino does allow Rose to leave the club though, he must issue United and Mourinho with an ultimatum, by demanding both Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw in exchange for the talented left-back.

Antonio Conte wanted to sign Rose as a left-wing back last summer but the former Leeds man would prefer to join United, according to the Daily Star.

Tottenham's Rose was high up on Mourinho's shortlist, but Spurs resisted and kept hold of the England worldwide.

Left-back Rose has been out since January with a knee injury and has suffered at least one set-back during his recovery that has prevented him from playing this season.
