Kyrie Irving slams Cleveland in favor of Boston

Irving will get to see Cleveland in person one time this season when the Celtics face off with the Cavaliers to start the season October 17. "You would go to Cleveland and it would be at nighttime and things would be going on, but you just see a vast difference".

Kyrie Irving is about a week away from heading back to Cleveland, but needless to say, his welcome back probably won't be a cheery one. Irving would go on to talk about the differences in culture and food and people - obvious facts.

Though he and the rest of his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates helped bring the city its first championship in any major professional sports league in 52 years, Kyrie Irving apparently doesn't consider Cleveland to be a "real, love sports city". You get it all, especially in Boston.

When the deal between Cleveland and Boston was finally completed after a hang-up with Isaiah Thomas" injured hip, Irving released a special "thank you' to the city of Cleveland. And when Irving walks onto the court in his Celtics jersey, he'll look around and see exactly how much has changed. Shortly after his trade was finalized, he posted a heartfelt thank you note to the city of Cleveland on his Instagram.

If he wasn't before, Kyrie Irving is bound to be booed now.

He lauded Boston and its sports culture Wednesday, just days before he will return to Cleveland for the first time as an opposing player in the season opener.
