Mahindra and Mahindra unveiled the KUV100 NXT days before Diwali starting at Rs 4.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The model is available in two variants.

Design-wise, the profile of the auto is same as before but compared to the older KUV100, the KUV100 NXT comes with fatter and more prominent plastic cladding along the wheel arches, side body and underbody to further emphasise its SUV character. There also are redesigned tail gate, turn signals on ORVMs, roof rails, 15-inch diamond cut dual-tone alloy wheels, and double barrel clear lens tail lamps. Speaking about the design, he said that the company hasn't made drastic changes to the design, as it looks similar to the older ones. There are additional cladding around the reflectors and number plate housing. The hatchback is equipped with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system loaded with GPS navigation on the top-spec K8 trim. The console also includes an electronic temperature control panel, which means instead of the three dials now you get one single dial with buttons.

The new version is available in gasoline and diesel variants and has lower trim (cheaper) options as well. Also standard now is the 6-seater configuration, with the 5-seater becoming an option. Other safety features include child lock, speed sensing door lock, and ISOFIX child seat mounts among others. While the petrol version is powered by the mFalcon G80 1.2L 3-cylinder all-aluminium unit and produces 83Ps of power and a peak torque of 115Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the diesel version is powered by mFalcon D75 1.2L CRDi unit and churns out the power of 78Ps and a peak torque of 190Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
