Michigan Driver Killed by Rock Thrown From Highway Overpass

Several teenagers are in custody for allegedly throwing a rock from an I-75 overpass, which smashed into a vehicle windshield and killed a 32-year-old man.

Until then, the billboard unveiled by Crime Stoppers will appear at I-75 and Clio Road in Genesee County, and I-675 and M-46 in Saginaw County.

Authorities have been investigating White's death as a homicide.


Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said he spoke to detectives about the incident, but would not provide any other details.

Kenneth White of Mount Morris was a passenger inside the vehicle that was struck Wednesday night on I-75 in Genesee County's Vienna Township, about 80 miles north of Detroit. The rock smashed through the car's windshield and killed him. The police found White fatally wounded.

Authorities said four other cars were struck with large rocks and were waiting for police to arrive when the fatal incident occurred.

A GoFundMe page seeking to raise $8,000 was started and is called "Burial Help for Kenneth A White." . The sheriff's office says a group of people may be responsible.
