New UF gator-like skin football uniforms raising some eyebrows

UF and Nike have worked on the alternate jerseys for more than two years, according to the university's website.

That will change for their upcoming game against Texas A&M, in which the Gators will dress up like actual Gators.

Florida, which sits at 3-2, will need some of that swamp action if they want to bounce back from last week's loss to LSU.

The helmet will feature the Gator head logo on one side of he helmet for the first time.

-The jersey will showcase a scaled pattern, with royal blue sleeves. And the Internet immediately hated the new looks.

The Gators and Aggies will be meeting for just the fourth time in history. In 2012, Florida welcomed the Aggies to the Southeastern Conference as UF traveled to College Station, Texas on September 8, 2012.

"The Swamp" was named by former coach Steve Spurrier.

The Gators will have a new, yet somewhat familiar look this weekend in the Swamp. "We feel this is an appropriate nickname for our stadium".
