Penn State vs. MI

MI coach Jim Harbaugh addresses the media after the 27-20 overtime win over IN on Sat. Oct. 14, 2017, IN Bloomington, Ind.

Penn State is ranked second in the nation and sits atop the standings in the Big Ten East.

The Michigan Wolverines look for their third road victory of the season to stay in the CFB playoff conversation.

For Penn State, this will be its first true test of the season. The Tigers lost a three-point game to the three-touchdown underdogs.

80 - Rushing yards managed by IN in its loss to MI on Saturday. Defensively, Michigan is allowing 14.7 points and 223.8 yards per game.

Since that game, Penn State is 15-1. The Nittany Lions haven't had a hard game on paper outside of the Iowa game back on September 23. Jason Cabinda leads the Penn State Nittany Lions with 40 tackles, Shaka Toney has three sacks and Amani Oruwariye has three interceptions.

Penn State's next two opponents after the MI game both climbed three spots in the rankings.

Although Penn State was idle last weekend, the Nittany Lions took advantage of the flurry of upsets in college football and rose to No. 2 in the weekly Associated Press Top 25 poll. Their toughest remaining opponents, not including the Big Ten Championship Game, are at No. 6 Ohio State and at No. 18 Michigan State.
