Before he stopped cooperating with police, he told them he left her outside by a tree at 3 a.m.

Following Mathews arrest, police in Richardson, Texas released new details about the timeline of the night Sherin disappeared, according to local television station KXAS-TV. She is not being named because she has not been charged with a crime.

Police issued an Amber Alert Saturday afternoon but canceled it Monday after no significant leads turned up in the case. He has since bonded out of jail and is required to wear an ankle monitor. Her father apparently made her stand beneath a tree about 100 feet from their home at 3:00 a.m. that morning because she would not drink her milk.

However, police weren't informed of Sherin's disappearance until about five hours later at 8 a.m.

Explaining why Sini, despite having no charges against her, chose to retain an attorney, Starr said that every individual has the right for legal counsel.

"As far as why she was out there, how long she was out there, that's the questions we have for the parents", he added. The little girl's adoptive mother has not spoken out. He said the delay in reporting the matter "is certainly concerning to us".

Kochi police is clueless as new reports emerge linking the parents of missing three-year-old Indian girl child in Texas, United States, to Ernakulam as their base.

Police are asking for anyone living in the Sunningdale area to check any video that could contain the vehicle.

"We don't have any other indication or evidence that she was forcibly abducted from that area", Perlich said.

Mathews was arrested Saturday on a charge of abandoning or endangering a child.

Sherin is described as three feet tall and weighs 22 pounds, she has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pink top, black pajama bottoms and pink flip-flops. They said she experiences formative issues and has restricted verbal relational abilities.

The Mathews family adopted the girl two years ago at an orphanage in India and she was malnourished when the couple took her in. Investigators are also now reviewing footage from surveillance cameras, cellphones and laptops to try to determine the whereabouts of the child.

"So part of the feeding thing was to build some mass and put some weight on her so it wasn't uncommon for her to have to be fed on a consistent schedule or as frequently as they could", Perlich said. "The parents are believers in Christ".
