Rahul Gandhi's temple visits won't work for Congress in Gujarat: Yogi Adityanath

"The case of Rohingya Muslims is being fought by another senior leader Kapil Sibal", he said. Yogi said that Gujarat has made quite a difference in the last two decades.

"I have come here to apprise you about the reality of Gujarat's development as recently Congress' prince (Rahul Gandhi) had tried to confuse you".

Seeking to corner the Congress over the issue of development, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said it did everything when it was in power at the Centre to ensure that the Sardar Sarovar project was not completed.

Yogi also alleged "that Congress killed Mahatma Gandhi's ideology and as Mahatma Gandhi had said that the relevance of the Congress had ended after Independence". Yogi Adityanath said, Congress is supporters of Ishrat Jahan. The Congress always emerges back; whenever people can think that they can finish it off, the Congress always emerges successfully. In truth, he was entitled to Bharat Ratna before all of them, he added.

The Yatra will culminate in a grand "mahasammelan" on October 16 in the outskirts of Ahmedabad which will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national chief Amit Shah. In addition, the BJP is focusing on the rural seats of the state through the Gujarat Gaurav Yatra. Due to not being successful in their plans, the BJP is also concentrating on other ethnic equations, in which the pro-Hindu image of the party and support of the OBC community is important.

Asked if there will be contenders against Rahul Gandhi for the party president's post, Moily said, "It's not an answer I should give you".

"Today, there are only two Lok Sabha members from Uttar Pradesh, but in 2019 there won't be a single Congress MP in the Lok Sabha".

Several Congress leaders have raised their voices from time to time for making Rahul the party president but they were silenced by their colleagues. While BJP it trying everything to keep ruling in the state, Congress is also engaged in the process of ending its decades-old political exile in the state.
