Robbie Lawler Faces Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 26

Former UFC champions Robbie Lawler and Rafael dos Anjos will meet in a five-round welterweight main event on December 16 in Winnipeg, per UFC officials. In the other, we'll have former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos.

The fight will headline UFC on FOX 26, which will take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Lawler, who now owns a lifetime professional mixed martial arts record of 28-11 (9-2 UFC), will be heading into his second bout since losing the welterweight title to Tyron Woodley in July 2016.

Lawler, a former welterweight champion and current No. 1 contender, will take a 28-11 record with one no contest into the fight.

Who do you think comes out on top in the UFC on Fox 26 main event?

The 35-year-old defended his title twice before losing to Woodley in Fight of the Year candidates against Rory MacDonald and Carlos Condit. Against dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 26, he'll look to string together a couple of wins to work his way back into title contention.

ESPN.com ranks Lawler and dos Anjos the Nos.

Dos Anjos, meanwhile, last fought at UFC 215, also in Canada, when he dominated long-time contender Neil Magny to a first-round submission win.

Canada will be well represented on the card, with Ultimate Fighter Nations victor Chad Laprise taking on Galore Bofando in a welterweight bout.

The UFC has yet to announce the card's bout order for the December 16 event.

The other top fight now on the show is Glover Teixeira (26-6) vs. Misha Cirkunov (13-3).

Cirkunov, who fights out of Toronto by way of Riga, Latvia, will be looking to avenge a loss to Volkan Oezdemir, which happened on the same night Teixeira lost to Gustafsson.
