Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 Edition with 4.7-inch display launched in India

You can buy the Galaxy J2 2016 Edition via Samsung's website in black and gold colors. The device has been priced at Rs 7390 and is now available via offline shops and the brand's own e-Store.

At the time of the launch, the price of the smartphone was not known.

Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 Edition features a 4.7-inch qHD Super AMOLED display having a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Under the hood is an unknown chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. There's 1GB of RAM inside, along with 8GB of space.

There is still roughly a whole year left before the next iteration of Samsung's Galaxy Note series will launch, but there are already talks about what features it might bring. Thankfully, the storage is expandable by a Micro SD card up to 128GB.

On the photography front, the Galaxy J2 sports a 5MP auto-focus rear camera with flash and a 2-MP front camera.

Samsung announces Galaxy J2 (2017) earlier this week in India.

The device is backed by a 2000mAh removable battery that Samsung claims lasts up to 9 hours on LTE. On the connectivity front, there is USB on-the-go (USB OTG), 4G, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Glonass, and 3.5mm audio jack. Priced at Rs 17,990, the tablet will be available on major e-retailers as well as offline stores. The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and has a single-SIM functionality. The company hasn't revealed the availability details of the device as of yet, but will soon do so in the days to come.

Not only is the Note FE technically a refurbished product, but it's also smaller, slower and less eye-catching than the latest "Infinity Display" 6.3-inch flagship with Exynos 8895 processing power.
