Stranger Things 2 Friday the 13th Trailer Teaser

"Stranger Things" season 2 will arrive on Netflix on October 27.

The most intriguing aspect of Stranger Things Season 1 was Eleven, who quickly created a bond with Mike, his friends, and the audience as well. Last week, the first clip arrived for season 2 and offered us a glimpse of the boys having fun on the holiday before things inevitably turn dark. "It gets much crazier than it ever got in season one", according to the writers of the show.

Netflix has released a new promo for Stranger Things season 2 that pays homage to the trailer for Friday the 13th. But it isn't just any old teaser: it's in the style of the trailer for 1980's Friday the 13th.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. It also provides the flawless way to tease 13 new moments from the show and throw back to an inspiration for the series. The film had been released the prior June. For starters, "Madmax" is no doubt a reference to Sadie Sink's new role on the show, a new girl at Hawkins High School named Max.

I'm so excited for fans to see the new episodes. This was in line with how they replaced most of the season 2 episode titles, which were initially revealed previous year, with only "Madmax" and "The Pollywog" remaining unchanged.

Out of everything, the most important glimpse is a possibly a flashback of Eleven's mother Terry Ives, who also was a participant in the Project MKUltra programme conducted by the Central Intelligence Agency at the Hawkins National Lab, and later died due to the consequences. Both of those mysteries will continue to have ramifications in the season to come, and there's a good chance Eleven's past and the Upside Down aren't gone for good on the show. It seems to be a vast "shadow monster" which Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) periodically sees in the sky or on the horizon and appears to take inspiration from Lovecraft's monstrosities. Stranger Things returns for its 10-episode second season on Friday, Oct. 27.
