Tagbo died of suffocation - Police reveal

Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has released an official statement, dissociating himself from the death of his close pal, Tagbo Umeike.

Autopsy has been conducted and the preliminary interim autopsy report reveals that the victim died of "asphyxia" which in layman's term means suffocation.

Imohimi Edgal, Acting Police Commissioner in the state, made the announcement at a press briefing on Wednesday.

The incident has generated a lot of controversies on social media since two weeks ago when actress Caroline Danjuma took to her Instagram page accusing Davido of being responsible for the death of Tagbo.

"These new revelations completely debunk Davido's claims that he did not know how the deceased got to General Hospital, Lagos".

Mr Tagbo, a friend of Davido, died on 3 October and his body was reportedly abandoned in front of a hospital in Lagos.

He was said to have partied with friends (Davido inclusive) in Lagos, hours before his death.

"The meeting confirmed that the deceased Tagbo Umeike on that day, met and had drinks with friends at Shisha Bar amongst whom was Davido". The CCTV footage also confirmed this.

"The CCTV footage at the hospital picked the escort vehicle abs the entire activity".
