'Wonder Woman' Gal Gadot to star in Nazi revenge thriller Ruin?

Israeli actress and Wonder Woman superstar Gal Gadot will potentially star in a movie set in Post- World War II-era Germany. Wonder Woman 2 is also on Gadot's slate, with Patty Jenkins returning to direct with an eye toward a late 2019 release. The movie's storyline centres on a former astronaut, played by Bradley, who has been hired to take a submersible to the deepest part of the ocean.

Gadot first appeared as Wonder Woman in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".

The film is being handled by Marc Butan's Mad River Pictures and will provide another chance to see Gadot outside the costume she has made so famous in recent years.

Ryan and Matt Firpo wrote the script but, according to Empire magazine, no actors have been attached to the movie and it's not known when it will go into production.

Kurzel is an Australian director whose 2015 adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. Ruin sounds like it might be a ideal vehicle for Fassbender, but as yet there are no reports about the actor being attached to the film.

Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.

If Gadot does sign on for this movie, let's hope her character is front and center of the action where she belongs! Her DCEU commitments mean she is locked in to Justice League 2 and the Flash standalone Flashpoint as well as Wonder Woman 2.
