Zlatan Ibrahimovic Set to Return to Action on December

"It doesn't mean that I don't miss the players, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't like them to be here and available for us".

Manchester United legend Andrew Cole has tipped Zlatan Ibrahimovic to return to action in December at the earliest after spending time in the gym with the Swedish superstar and chatting with him about his progress and condition.

Providing a fresh update on the situation during a press conference held before Saturday's (21 October) Premier League trip to Huddersfield Town, Mourinho confirmed that the 36-year-old was indeed working tirelessly at United's Carrington training base and claimed to have a hunch that he will return to the pitch before the end of December.

The former Sweden worldwide signed a new one-year contract with the Red Devils back in August after Manchester United initially released the veteran striker following the 2016-17 season. "He's working here and under our control". Do I feel he will be back in 2017?

"He did it (recovery) very well, I talked to Zlatan while at the gym a while ago, I think he hopes to get back in December or January", Cole told FourFourTwo.

"He needs to take his time and come back in the right moment". The last few weeks, he was accompanied Andy Cole, who also underwent kidney transplant surgery in April.

"It's just then a question of the way you position yourself in relation to that, the way you think is best way you think is to do it. Yes I do, but it's just a feeling". "And yes in answer to your question, nobody is back from injury but what we have is good", the United boss said.

Do I believe he'll be back in 2017?

"For some is better to remember the team is not in its full strength, is better to remember play A or b and C or D is still important for the team".

Mourinho has said in the past Ibrahimovic would not be back until the New Year.
