A Spice Girls Reunion Spesh Is Reportedly Arriving Next Year, Posh Included

The Spice Girls, made up of Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel C, and Geri Halliwell, are reportedly in talks to reunite next year.

The quintet is said to be working on a series of projects besides the TV special and tour, so stay tuned. "Getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion".

Now, hits like "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life" will be seen on stage again, as all the former band members are excited to get back together in 2018 for a one-off special and album.

Since then getting the five Spices together in the same room has been hard, and it usually only happens for special occasions like the opening night of Viva Forever! the Spice Girls musical, or the opening ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Mel C has apparently been working in the background with the girl band's original manager, Simon Fuller, for the big comeback.

It's not the first time rumours of another reunion have surfaced.

"But gradually the ice thawed, and Mel was the one who drove that".

In a 1998 Union-Tribune interview, Posh Spice addressed those differences, without casting much light on them, saying of Halliwell: "She wanted to move on".

According to inews Geri had previously been trying to plan a reunion, but had "given up trying". "It got to the point where I just had to let it go", she told Red magazine.

"I still love the girls and there are other bits and bobs in the pipeline". Mel's divorce battle also helped to bring them back together, as did the birth of Geri's son. Will their "girl power" empowerment slogan still resonate two decades after the group's heyday?
