Ben Affleck plotting 'graceful and cool' Batman exit

Ben Affleck plotting 'graceful and cool' Batman exit

But it appears that Affleck has grown exhausted of the superhero world and is setting his sights on hanging up the cape for good. His initial casting was met with howls of outrage by the internet. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice shoehorned in metahuman files on a computer, Spider-Man 3 had three villains and did none of them justice, and Avengers: Age of Ultron was too concerned with setting up the future that it neglected the present. Unfortunately, the movie itself was met with a less than warm critical response.

Ben - who appears in the new "Justice League" film - shared: "The new Batman movie being developed by Matt Reeves ['War for the Planet of the Apes'] is something I'm contemplating". Not that things are ever easy for an actor playing Batman, a role which these days carries about as much baggage as James Bond, but Mr. Affleck has been dealt a hand of jokers nearly from the start. It has worked its way through a couple of directors (Matt Reeves is now in the chair) and even more scripts.

Justice League will be different, however.

New Justice League concept art has surfaced online featuring Batman and early designs for The Flash and Cyborg.

Yes, as Warner and DC's mega-movie inches ever closer, the Internet has been transformed into a minefield of bootleg recordings and potentially huge story spoilers, so it's fair to say that comic book fans will want to tread lightly for the next four-to-five days - assuming you don't mind having things spoiled ahead of time, of course. That being said, contradicting answers only supported the notion that Affleck wanted out.

This is even more clear in its suggestion of a world without Affleck's Batman than his recent chat with Extra TV.

Others, however, point out that the part in JL involving the Amazons happened thousands of years before we see them in WW, so it's possible that the ladies just got better at making their armor over the millennia.
