Carrie Underwood on the mend after breaking wrist in fall

"On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall on some steps outside her home", her rep said in a statement.

In a statement Sunday on Twitter, the 34-year-old country singer thanked her fans for messages of support following her fall Friday night.

Country music star Carrie Underwood is recovering after reportedly breaking her wrist in a fall outside her home in Nashville, Tennessee.

The doctors made a decision to release her from the hospital not long after they put a cast on her wrist. Her husband, Mike Fisher, returned to Nashville overnight to be by her side.

Underwood was treated at the hospital for her wrist, cuts and abrasions, a spokesperson told the media outlet.

Due to her injuries, Underwood was forced to cancel her performance at the Country Rising benefit concert tonight in Nashville, according to the Tennessean. "I'll be alright...might just take some time...glad I've got the best hubby in the world to take care of me", she wrote.

Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt and Keith Urban are some of the performers expected to take the stage for the Sunday benefit event.

Carrie Underwood attends the 51st annual CMA Awards at the Bridgestone Arena, Nov. 8, 2017 in Nashville, Tenn.
