Chicago to host 2020 NBA All-Star Game

According to The Vertical's Shams Charania, tomorrow's Bulls announcement at the United Center will reveal that Chicago has earned 2020 All-Star Weekend. The city last hosted the festivities back in 1988 at Chicago Stadium. "We look forward to being here".

Reinsdorf's son Michael, the COO of the Bulls, quoted his father during the press conference, saying that his own son and Mayor Emanuel convinced him to prod the league to select Chicago for the game. But Cleveland will have to wait until at least 2021 for its next NBA All-Star Game. "It was a great event then and it will truly be in 2020 the epicenter of basketball around the world", said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

For the first time in three decades, the stars of the National Basketball Association will make their way to the Windy City in February for their mid-season showcase. Could Cleveland be in line to host the 2021 event?

However, with the news of them hosting the NBA All-Star Game three years from now, it could lift their spirits and boost their confidence, which could lead to more inspired play in their upcoming games.
