Diana Ross's Grandkids Adorably Crash the Stage During Her AMAs Performance

After an introduction from her son Evan, Diana Ross took the stage at the Microsoft Theater for a rare performance in honor of her American Music Award for lifetime achievement. "These are my grandbabies!" she declared while dancing with them. "Through it all, there has always been music", Ross said as she closed her video soliloquy.

Daughter Tracee Ellis Ross also hosted the AMAs on ABC, the home of the younger Ross' popular sitcom Black-ish.

Well, who wouldn't want to be like Diana Ross? Diana then took the stage in a plum-colored gown, tulle shawl, and major statement jewels on her neck.

Ross's show-closing performance was a true family affair.

The 73-year-old legendary singer is set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the bash, taking the opportunity to include her family in the celebration, alongside longtime friends Smokey Robinson and Motown founder Berry Gordy. Although little Jagger shied from the spotlight, grandson Raif-Henok Kendrick (son of Rhonda) practically stole the spotlight from his grandma with his flashy, ready-for-primetime dance moves.

"This is all about love", Ross said during her brief but joyous acceptance speech. As someone who loves clothes, and who just released a fashion clothing line for JC Penney, she feels she can best display a few nods to her mother's larger than life fashion sense. I'm so humbled. I love you so very much and I think you know that.

The American Music Awards will celebrate the best and most influential artists on Sunday night as voted by the fans.
