Ellen Page says director Brett Ratner "outed" her as a teen

Ellen Page says director Brett Ratner

At the time, she was only 18 years old.

Ratner is a prolific producer and director of a number of major films in recent years, including The Revenant, Jersey Boys and the Horrible Bosses series.

Page made the accusations on Facebook Friday afternoon in a post that begins, "You should fuck her to make her realize she's gay".

Brett Ratner speaks onstage the 100th anniversary celebration of the Beverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows supporting the Motion Picture & Television Fund and the American Comedy Fund hosted by Brett Ratner and Warren Beatty at Beverly Hills Hotel on June 16, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California. An adult authority figure for whom I worked meant to exploit me, physically.

In the same Facebook post, Page described other harassment she has endured in Hollywood and she also took aim at Woody Allen, the controversial Annie Hall director who has previously been accused of sexual abuse (allegations he has also repeatedly denied). I felt violated when this happened. "We are all entitled to come into an awareness of our sexual orientation privately and on our own terms".

"You have to pander to it", she said. "I had yet to find my voice and was not who I am now and felt pressured, because "of course you have to say yes to this Woody Allen film".

Page, who started acting at the age of 10, said the alleged comment had a long-term effect on her: "This public, aggressive outing left me with long standing feelings of shame, one of the most destructive results of homophobia ..."

Terry Goddard, who worked as an assistant for New Line at the time, told Variety that Ratner was known for ogling assistants and making them uncomfortable.

Martin Singer, Ratner's attorney said that "no woman has ever made a claim" against his client for "sexual misconduct or sexual harassment" or "has ever requested or received any financial settlement" from him over the two decades of his work.

As readers know, six other women, including actress Olivia Munn and Katharine Towne, have also accused Ratner of sexual harassment - charges he and his camp have denied. At the time, his lawyer said Ratner "vehemently disputes" those allegations.

Variety reports that they've spoken with former New Line employees that claim Ratner's actions led to complaints provided to the human resources department.

She added: "I proceeded to watch him on set say degrading things to women". Ellen Page joined that group today, opening up on Facebook about the abuse and homophobia that has dogged her nearly since she began acting as a child.

Bret Ratner attends the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on February 26, 2017 in Beverly Hills, California. The actress said she refused, telling him, "I am not on your team".

At one point, she reveals, she got into an "altercation" with the director. It was a painful realization: my safety was not guaranteed at work.

Page says she "was sexually assaulted by a grip months later". I was asked by a director to sleep with a man in his late twenties and to tell them about it.
