Eve joins The Talk as new co-host

Although Eve now resides in London, the rapper turned actress says she couldn't turn down the opportunity, even if it meant moving across the pond to The Talk's homeland (Los Angeles).

ET spoke with Chen about finding a new co-host in August, just several weeks after Tyler left the show, where she compared the casting process to speed dating. However, in an effort to find a replacement for Tyler, the series saw stars like Shemar Moore, Chris O'Donnell, Eric Christian Olsen and Wilmer Valderrama fill in the host chair temporarily. Eve was a standout and proved she was the right fit earlier this month when she co-hosted for a week, impressing viewers, the network, and the cast.

Eve is a Grammy-winning artist who's known for the 2002 song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" and her collaborations with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jill Scott, and Dr. Dre.

Eve debuted on the show on Tuesday alongside fellow co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. As an actress, Eve has had roles in "xXx", the "Barbershop" franchise, "Glee", and her self-titled UPN sitcom.

"I'm always interested in unique and fun parts", Eve told Variety. "I'm kind of quiet on social media, so this is a fun way for me to be expressive and show people who I am right now".

As detailed by a video compilation shared on The Talk, Eve brings with her years of experience in the music and entertainment industry. "And to have such a diverse group of women as well - I think that is very important", she said".

"I will definitely make time for acting, if there is time".
