Falcons RB to miss Week 11 vs. Seahawks with concussion

The team late announced Freeman has a concussion and would not return to the game.

The Atlanta Falcons could go into next week's Monday Night Football matchup against the Seattle Seahawks without star running back, Devonta Freeman.

The Falcons came up big on Sunday, knocking off a red-hot Cowboys team and potentially getting their season back on track.

Even losing starting running back Devonta Freeman to a concussion early didn't stop Atlanta from running the ball well and taking shots downfield. While most believed it was a hit from Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens that caused the concussion, Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has a different theory.

Update: Freeman has been diagnosed with a concussion and is done for the day.

Freeman left the game against Dallas early in the first quarter and was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a head injury. Overall this season, Freeman has rushed for 515 yards and five touchdowns while also catching 19 passes for 137 yards.

Freeman missed two preseason games after suffering a concussion in a practice in August.
