Huge blow for Gareth Bale: Player suffers another Real Madrid setback

Real Madrid and Wales forward Gareth Bale has suffered another injury setback that could see him sidelined for a further month.

There has been no timeline mentioned yet on his return, however, fans can be assured that they will be seeing a lot more of Isco rather than Bale.

The Welsh star had only returned to first-team training last week after recovering form a calf injury he sustained during their 3-1 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund.

The Portugal worldwide has demanded that Zidane doesn't bring Bale into his starting XI for Real's next game against Atletico Madrid.

But Bale's injury woes have worsened and he now faces spending the rest of 2017 on the treatment table after tearing his adductor muscle during a training session on Thursday.

Bale's latest injury is a further blow for Real coach Zinedine Zidane, with attacking pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema having struggled in front of goal in La Liga with each finding the target just once so far.

Bale hasn't played for Madrid since September when he was ruled unfit to play because of "swelling (.) to the soleus muscle of his left leg".

The 28-year-old forward also missed Wales' final two World Cup qualifiers last month as they failed to qualify for next year's tournament in Russian Federation.
