Hulu working on live-action Hitman series

In a gaming career that's spanned console generations, Agent 47's already killed more people than anyone can reasonably count - and now the Hitman star is preparing to pop up on your TV to show you what assassination-for-hire looks like when no one's holding the controller.

The property itself has been in the big screen before back in 2007 and 2015.

Hollywood hasn't yet cracked the code on making a successful video game adaptation, but maybe television is the key.

Hopefully the new show will be better than the two previous films.

Hulu is developing a Hitman TV series with John Wick creator Derek Kolstad. The project will be overseen at Fox 21 by Bert Salke, Jane Francis, Gloria Fan and Kira Innes, and at Hulu by Jordan Helman.

The news comes from Deadline which reported that Fox 21 and Hulu have chose to team up for an original Hitman television series. There was a secret assassin society that was set up and then built upon even further in the sequel and the world of John Wick is rich with exploration, which means that Hitman shouldn't be new territory for Derek Kolstad.

Genetically engineered from conception to be the flawless killing machine, he's the culmination of decades of research, endowed with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. More importantly, someone who can be a convincing Agent 47.

If you've never played the Hitman games, they're fairly straightforward.
