Kelley arrested for DWI

University of Arkansas Quarterback Cole Kelley has been arrested on suspicion of DWI and reckless driving.

A redshirt freshman, Kelley had started Arkansas' previous four games before resuming his spot as the backup to Austin Allen in Saturday's 33-10 loss to LSU. Bielema said he sent Kelley in because the offense was looking for a "spark" in hopes of rallying from what was a 26-10 deficit.

Kelley had logged considerable playing time for the Razorbacks after an injury to Austin Allen in the University of SC game.

Allen had completed 13 of 23 passes for 140 yards prior to being removed from the game. Kelley's eyes were allegedly 'red and watery, ' according to the police reporter.

"I was informed early this morning of an incident involving Cole Kelley".

Kelley was wearing a medical brace due to a turf toe injury on his right foot and was not asked to perform other parts of the standard field test. He redshirted that season, but has saw action in nine games this year, completing 87 of 151 for 1,038 yards and eight touchdowns to four interceptions.

Bielema has not yet publicly announced disciplinary actions against Kelley, who is still listed as a second-string quarterback for now alongside Ty Storey.

The Razorbacks (4-6, 1-5 SEC) host Mississippi State this Saturday before concluding the regular season vs. Missouri.
