Neymar regrets joining PSG

Neymar has experienced mixed fortunes at the Parc des Princes since joining Emery's side from Barcelona for a world-record £198million fee this summer.

There were some unsavoury scenes in a Ligue 1 game against Lyon in September, as he and Edinson Cavani argued over the taking of a free-kick and a penalty in their side's 2-0 victory.

"I'm very well in Paris, I'm happy".

"For me, Neymar is the best player in the world today", he said of his compatriot to ESPN.

"What bothers me is everyone creating stories about me, with my coach and with Cavani". I know my role on my pitch and I do what my coach asks me to do.

'But [these stories] are something that's bothering me a lot because everybody is inventing stories about my time here, my relationships, that aren't true.

Personally, I'm not sure what to believe but I doubt we'll ever see Neymar Jnr in a Barcelona short again in a competitive friendly, how about you?

"It's easier for you to hear from my mouth".

With both Neymar and teammate Mbappe confirming the Brazilian is happy in France, PSG will be hopeful of big things this season. I'm happy. I was happy when I left Barcelona and I'm still happy now'.

The Spanish worldwide has been the beneficiary of Neymar's departure as he now has more freedom to get forward on the wing rather than exclusively cover for the Brazilian.

Los Blancos are "willing to pay 200 million euros to sign a star player" in 2018, or even the following summer, and Neymar is top of the list, according to Jose Felix Diaz at Marca.

'When I arrived here we had a meeting and I told him I wanted to help him, and he told me he would help me achieve my objectives and goals in my career'.

"We are human beings, sometimes we suffer faults and we react in the wrong way".

"I can speak of his character, his nature and the great heart Neymar has".
