Patriots hand Broncos 5th straight defeat

Patriots hand Broncos 5th straight defeat

After an interesting week of being cut from the Green Bay Packers and then claimed off of waivers by the New England Patriots, tight end Martellus Bennett is officially back with his old team, the Patriots, after being active for Sunday night's game against the Denver Broncos, despite only one day of practice, and a torn rotator cuff.

Lewis also ran for a touchdown in helping the Patriots (7-2) win on the road for the 12th straight time.

The Patriots were more than willing to bring back tight end Martellus Bennett, who will nearly certainly make the offense better.

Thanks to some incredible special teams play by New England, Brady was consistently starting drives in great field position.

Denver quarterback Brock Osweiler completed 18 of his 33 pass attempts for 221 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

The Broncos have muffed a punt, allowed a 103-yard kickoff return, and had a punt blocked, which nearly seems unfair against the Patriots.

Brady finished Week 10 with 11.76 Passing Net Expected Points, per numberFire live.

It was the first in a slew of special teams breakdowns that were costly for the Broncos.

Denver answered with the first of three first-half field goals by McManus, but Lewis broke loose for his 103-yard kickoff touchdown.

If all that wasn't enough, Broncos' punter Riley Dixon had his punt blocked by Burkhead.
