Philippe Coutinho Says He's

Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho insists he is happy with his life on Merseyside amid intense interest from Barcelona.

The Brazil global attempted to force a move to the Spanish league leaders in the summer, but Reds owners FSG steadfastly refused to sell, despite being offered a massive nine-figure sum for the 25-year-old.

Coutinho said: "Unfortunately, I could not play for Liverpool in the past three games because of injury".

And with both PSG and Juventus reportedly ready to rival Barcelona for Coutinho's signature, Spanish daily Sport claims the Brazilian has told Liverpool chiefs to reject any approaches that come their way from the Ligue 1 giants.

Coutinho looks set to feature in Tuesday night's friendly against England at Wembley, where the player could line up against his club teammates Joe Gomez and Dominic Solanke.

"I'm playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world", said Coutinho, who has scored four goals in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp's side. Now I feel 100 percent fit.

Brazil global Rafinha, who is now injured, wants to leave the club in search of first-team action elsewhere ahead of next summer's World Cup.

Klopp will be undoubtedly be left frustrated should Coutinho pick further hinder his rehabilitation during the clash with Gareth Southgate's England, with Southampton full back Ryan Bertrand - Liverpool's next opponents - among a depleted Three Lions outfit.

The Mirror claim that Liverpool were unhappy when the 25-year-old made a decision to join up with his national squad when he required treatment for a thigh injury. "Football has been very generous for me".

"Every day, I work harder than before to improve myself and become a better all-around footballer".
