Rudy Gobert Out 4-6 Weeks With Knee Injury

Gobert suffered the injury in Saturday's loss to Miami after colliding with Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters going for a loose ball. After suffering the injury Friday, Gobert called Waiters' dive "a dirty play". "He just dove right into my knee".

"I didn't even know that was him", Waiters said. The Jazz reportedly asked the league to review the play, but National Basketball Association officials cleared Waiters of any intentional foul accusations. Despite losing backcourt stars Gordon Hayward and George Hill in free agency, the Utah Jazz have begun the season with a respectable 6-7 record and are in the running for another postseason berth.

Utah (6-7) now sits middle of the pack in the crowded Western Conference after losing four of their last five games. "I just have to make sure I'm where I'm supposed to be offensively and defensively". "If he thought it was a dirty play, you come to me as a man and you ask me and I'll tell him the same (expletive) I'm saying now".

The Jazz have stumbled out of the gate a bit without Hayward, as could have been expected, at 6-7, but their quest for a playoff berth in the ultra-competitive Western Conference just got significantly more hard. "We have to be prepared". He missed the following game, however, a 114-106 Utah win over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday before being ruled out for an extended time.
