Trader Joe's recalls certain fresh salads sold in Arizona

A recall issued by the grocery store chain Trader Joe's Saturday states three separate pre-packaged salads may contain pieces of glass or hard plastics.

Green Cuisine, made in San Fernando, is recalling three mixes that were produced between November 4 and 15, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The products have the establishment number "P-40299" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The recall impacts about 37,000 pounds of chicken and turkey salad products.

The White Meat Chicken Salad, Curried White Chicken Deli Salad and Turkey Cranberry Apple Salad are included in the recall.

These items were shipped to retail locations in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington.

If you have one of these products, it should be returned to its place of purchase for a full refund or thrown away.

Trader Joe's said products with other "inspected" codes are not affected because they were prepared at different sites.

No injuries have been reported.
