Xbox One X smash PlayStation Pro sales numbers in UK

How well did Xbox One X sold in the first week in the UK? This puts the device's first week sales in line with the Nintendo Switch and ahead of Sony's PlayStation 4 (PS4) Pro.

The Xbox One X sold over 80,000 units in the United Kingdom, according to data shared by retailers to GamesIndustry.biz, a number which trounces the PS4 Pro's 50,000 units sold. The best-selling Xbox One game of the week was Call of Duty: WWII, followed by Assassin's Creed Origins (which was promoted with the system), Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 and the Forza duo: Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3.

It is more than likely that this bundle will be restocked in the upcoming weeks in order to compete with the Xbox One X. You still need to buy games on the Xbox One X in order to take advantage of the superior hardware that it has to offer.

With the Xbox One having received very little in the way of exclusives this year, it's somewhat surprising that it has performed so well in the region.

Xbox One X lives up to its billing as "the world's most powerful console", impressively improving the performance of all games on the system, and able to run many that choose to support it in 4K resolution and at a smooth 60 frames per second.

However at the end of the day despite the Xbox One X appearing to perform better in certain aspects, overall it seems that the differences don't feel too obvious, but feel free to judge for yourself by checking out the video above.

Sharing data on sales, retailers across the country have provided an insight into the reception for Microsoft's latest and greatest console.
