Antonio Brown Yells 'Karma' and 'I Liked That' Regarding Vontaze Burficit Injury

First, there was this block by Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster on Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict that led to the latter leaving the game with a head injury. That play will also likely draw a fine and these Bengals and Steelers games continue to live up to their reputation of being dangerously contentious. If he did in fact "fake" the injury as Burfict claims, that's impressive dedication to his emblishment of the hit that Burfict delivered. Burfict later told ESPN that Brown "faked that." "[He] Said "Touchdown Brown" will pay his fine". He was originally suspended for five games to open the 2017 season, before it was reduced to three games after appeal. He's also been accused of dirty plays against Ravens tight end Maxx Williams, former Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett, former Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount, and Bell.

And while there's going to be a segment of the populations (particularly Steelers fans) who won't feel sympathetic for Burfict, there's really no excusing this sort of play when there's such a serious risk for injury. It can't be used as a way to justify that block. Smith-Schuster was called for unnecessary roughness and taunting, though he wasn't kicked out of the game.
