Call of Duty: WW2 Winter Siege Event Begins Tomorrow

Activision and Sledgehammer Games have announced the first community event for "Call of Duty: WW2" called Winter Siege.

Winter Siege features a new winter version of the Carentan multiplayer map, which is a snow-covered, winter-themed version of the fan-favorite, previously only available as reimagined Carentan to Season Pass owners.

The event is packed with Call of Duty nostalgia, bringing the long-awaited Gun Game back to the fold, as well as a winter version of the map Carentan, double XP playlists, new weapons, and free supply drops - with special wintery loot - for all players.

In the wintry HQ, Captain Butcher will also have new Winter Siege uniforms, cosmetic items and weapon variants, while Major Howard will have new daily Special Orders through which you can earn a free variant of each new weapon. Players will earn one Winter Siege Supply Drop each week for logging in during the event. That's four weeks of snow-flecked festivities in total, and participants can get a free Winter Siege Supply Drop every week of the event.

Throughout the event, players will be given challenges in order to get specific rewards. This will be added to all multiplayer playlists on December 8th, and is available to all.

Call of Duty: WWII has been a journey of inspiration and passion for everyone at Sledgehammer Games.

Headquarters for "Call of Duty: WW2" will also be receiving a revamp during the Winter Siege event.

Kicking off on Friday, December 8, the Winter Siege offers up a boatload of free content to tuck into. These are: the GPMG LMG, the Sten SMG, the Gewehr 43 Assault Rifle, Trench Knife, and Ice Pick.
