David Cassidy removed daughter Katie from will before death

The deceased "Partridge Family" star will no doubt divide readers with his decision to withhold his wealth from his daughter, whose mother is former model Sherry Williams.

"It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy", David Cassidy stated in the will, which was reportedly written in 2004 before the actress had established her own successful career.

The two had been estranged, but reconciled before his death from organ failure on November 21 at the age of 67.

Cassidy wasn't very close to Katie, 31, before he died. David's three half-siblings will receive anything declared as "music memorabilia". According to him, he's never really had a relationship with her, so it only makes sense for him to leave his assets to son Beau. The 67-year-old singer was estranged from Katie Cassidy for several years, though they had reconciled before his death, and so his legal arrangements reflected the distance between them, leaving his $150,000 assets to son Beau.

The Partridge family might have been picture ideal, but David Cassidy had a complex relationship with his real-life family.

David told People in February that he "never" had a relationship with his daughter. "She has a completely different life", he said. "She's very talented", he said.

"I'm proud of her", he added.

After David's death, Katie posted on Twitter thanking everyone for their supportive words. "Words cant express the solace our family's received from all the love & support during this trying time", she wrote.

Despite this, the two had a relationship and she was among those by his hospital bed when he died, tweeting days later, "My father's last words were "So much wasted time".

Katie, who was raised mainly by her mother and stepfather, Richard Benedon, stars as Laurel Lance in the hit TV show "Arrow", and also starred in the 2006 remake of "When A Stranger Calls".
