Everton's incredible team news for Apollon Limassol clash

Sam Allardyce has given Everton debuts to two youngsters, Harry Charlsey and Fraser Hornby, with Everton's future in the competition already decided.

None of those will be involved in Sunday's Merseyside derby when Allardyce and Everton's big hitters return, but this was evidence that after a bleak few months, there is cause for optimism about the future at Goodison Park.

Harry Charsley - Capped by Ireland at Under-21 level, Charsley is an energetic and versatile midfielder who has regularly weighed in with goals for Everton's age-group sides.

First team coaches Craig Shakespeare and Duncan Ferguson led the travelling party that left on Wednesday without Allardyce, who was appointed as the Merseyside club's boss last week.

Joel Robles, Morgan Schneiderlin, Davy Klaassen, Muhamed Besic, Kevin Mirallas, Nikola Vlasic, Ademola Lookman and Beni Baningime are reportedly the only senior players involved, meaning there could be as many as eight debutants.

Morgan Feeney - An "old school" style centre-back that has already drawn comparisons with Toffees legend Dave Watson, Feeney has captained both Everton Under-23s and England Under-19s over the past season.

Alex Denny also got on in injury time.

Nathan Broadhead - Perhaps the most technically proficient of those mentioned, Wales youth worldwide Broadhead plays along the forward line and has a penchant for the spectacular.

He has gone with an experimental side for the game and there are other Ireland-eligible players on the substitutes bench. This team is doing well in the domestic competition and at home, I think they will fancy a win over Everton.
