Fallen Kingdom' Plot Details Emerge … and They're Bonkers

A Monster Calls helmer J.A. Bayona took over directing duties for the Jurassic World sequel, with Trevorrow returning as screenwriter alongside the first film's scribe Derek Connolly. The real trailer will arrive Thursday (Dec. 7) during Thursday Night Football. But based on EW's first-look exclusive, it seems the Baryonyx is not opposed to adding human flesh to the menu. This 15 sec clip reminds the glimpse of the previous parts, in the clip Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) seen yelling at Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) & The young scientist to run. This time, rather than save their own skins, they're trying to save all the dinosaurs who overran the park at the end of the last film from yet another extinction event after a volcano threatens to destroy the island.

Universal Pictures has confirmed that the Jurassic World 2 will hit theatres on June 22, 2018 and the United Kingdom will get the movie two weeks earlier, on June 7.

Flanked by an all-star cast of series regulars (see: BD Wong and the inimitable Jeff Goldblum), Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will bear witness to a Fallen Kingdom on June 22nd, 2018. Of course, knowing that Owen played an important role in Jurassic World, we're bound to see a whole lot of him as he tries to help Claire and her team in the film's sequel.

Little is known about the plot of the flick except that writer Colin Trevorrow hinted it will be a "parable for the treatment animals receive today".

The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer gets released on Thursday. Check it out below (and re-watch the first trailer tease here). And since her days running the dino-theme park, Claire now runs an organization named the Dinosaur Protection Group, and so she seeks to save these dinosaurs by removing them from the island.
