Giovanni Pernice calls Debbie McGee 'gorgeous' ahead of the Strictly final

"It feels like we've been altered, in a really good way".

A BBC spokeswoman said: "The producers always wanted a final in which all the couples danced three times".

"We're beyond thrilled", he beams, speaking ahead of the finalists' press conference on their last day of rehearsals.

They are competing against actress and radio presenter Atkinson, as well as singer and former X Factor victor Burke.

Former X Factor victor Burke recalls that when she found out she was to be on Strictly, she screamed so much she lost her voice - and she was appearing in a show in Cardiff that night. She also has her own radio show on BBC Berkshire and has featured on many TV reality shows.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas has said she would love to return for next year's run - while also having a pop at dancer Brendan Cole.

"[When] we started, that was a very hard time for me, but to have this as an fantastic distraction, a blessing in disguise, something I've been able to focus on... it has been out of this world".

Burke says Strictly was her mum's "favourite show", and adds: "My mum was just the most wonderful woman who gave me so much strength and she still does to this day".

The Elephant singer began to break down as she began to think about the moments her mum had missed out on.

"We're cool right here", she added. I want to make the most of every opportunity.

Kick off is at 6.30pm - it's the last Strictly of the season and I suspect it's going to be a cracker, so bring your sparkliest dancing shoes. This is going to be unbelievable, thank you so much!' From there I was like, 'happy days!' I then saw the other [moves] and was like, 'yes, Flexy McGee.' It felt like Christmas had come early. "The way [Gorka and I] deal with it is to just get on with it", she said. One never presumes - but I have enjoyed it.

"It's basically going to be more elegant and lots of storytelling", he added.

They have lit up the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor with their impeccable chemistry and dazzling routines, so it's no wonder Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice have reached this year's finale! The pressure was on to start the series with a bang.
