Google releases list of 2017's most popular searches

As the year comes to a close, Google has released its top searches of 2017.

Google's video examines the tragedies that have affected millions of live in 2017, including the Mexico natural disaster, the Las Vegas shooting, and the spate of storms that rolled across the Atlantic during this year's hurricane season. The storm slammed into the Gulf Coast of Florida in September and was one of four hurricanes to hit America this year.

People were also busy looking up movie titles, particularly IT, Wonder Woman, Beauty and the Beast, Justice League and Dunkirk. The longtime "Today" show host was sacked by NBC in November amid allegations of sexually questionable behavior. Each event is linked to an associated Google search, with the search engine highlighting the questions bystanders asked in response to the chaos around them.

As for top trended global news, Hurricane Irma, Bitcion and Las Vegas shooting were the top three. She was followed by men embroiled in 2017's sexual misconduct scandals like Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and Bill O'Reilly.

Among the most wanted people in Google is also the American actress Megan Marcel, the bride of Britain's Prince Harry.
