Guardiola: 'No words to describe' Kevin De Bruyne's fine display

Milestones and landmarks have tumbled for City this season, with their most recent being an English record for the number of consecutive league wins, which they have now set at 15 and counting.

De Bruyne's 70th-minute goal came shortly after he caught by a bad tackle from Spurs' Dele Alli that saw the midfielder booked, although he could easily have been a red card. We'll review the game tomorrow, I'll speak with the players individually and all together, to see what good we did and any mistakes.

"I just can say thank you to all my players, and especially Kevin, for the fact that (he is) one of the most talented players, and you see him, how he runs without the ball".

He said: "Today was a special performance from all the team". He helps us to be a better club, a better institution for the future, because that is what we want to do.

"I am proud, I don't want to be humble, I am proud with my staff".

"And of course that's happened because I was with three awesome clubs: Barcelona, Bayern Munich and this one. But without club support and good players it's impossible to create these sort of things".

After Spurs rallied in the second half, De Bruyne carried the game beyond them, rifling home a left-foot shot in the 70th minute and sparking the move that culminated in Sane teeing up Sterling for a tap-in. After war at Old Trafford when Jose Mourinho demanded they turn their music down, here the big noise came after Dele Alli - in spiteful fashion - tried silencing Kevin De Bruyne.

And Keown felt that Dembele should have been humiliated at being shown up so badly.

The Cityzens played Mauricio Pochettino's men off the mark for the entirety of the game, with Kevin de Bruyne turning in yet another man of the match display. "I'll try to keep going over the next games and today was a good day". Today was a very good example of a team that believe, that have quality and is in very good form.
