HMD Global To Launch Nokia 9, Nokia 8 (2018) On January 19

To recall, HMD Global has completed a year as the new home of the Nokia mobile brand and it made its global debut with the launch of Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 at MWC early this year. A new report from China claims that the Nokia 9 and a new iteration of the Nokia 8, named Nokia 8 (2018) will be launched on the 19th of January. And this, HMD Global may do in the days to come.

Both the devices will arrive with custom software tailored specifically for the Chinese market, indicating Google Play services will be replaced by a local offering. But it won't be alone it seems, as there are also plans to launch a re-booted Nokia 8 alongside. The Nokia 3 is powered by a powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor and comes with a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution.

Alongside the launch date and images of the Nokia 9, some of the specs and also the price of the phone have been leaked online. A new report suggests that HMD Global will reveal their new product during a product launch event in China.

The Nokia 9 will come with a 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant which is rumoured to be priced at 3699 Yuan and a 128GB storage variant priced at 4199 Yuan.

There's even pricing information for the Nokia 9 - the 6GB/64GB model will go for CNY 3,699 ($558) while the 6GB/128GB variant will sell for CNY 4,199 ($634).

A leaked screenshot spotted on the Chinese portal news.mydrivers revealed the prices of the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) smartphones. The protective case of Nokia 9 was spotted on Amazon UK pointed at a curved-glass display, a back-facing fingerprint scanner, and a dual-camera setup. Nokia 8, Nokia 7 and Nokia 6 are the best cell phones from Nokia on Android stage known for their smooth and solid design.

Both the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) are expected to have dual cameras at the back and have IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Reports suggest that neither of the phones will include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
