How bookies have reacted to Philippe Coutinho's comments about Liverpool future

Liverpool's focus on attack this season has drawn comparisons to the team from the 2013-14 season, in which Liverpool came within just one win of the Premier League title as they finished just below Manchester City.

Coutinho has formed a lethal partnership alongside Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has said Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho would be the flawless fit for his old club, Barcelona.

After missing the start of the season through injury, Coutinho has since scored nine goals in 13 appearances - including a hat-trick in Wednesday's 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow in the Champions League.

However it is understood Coutinho had an agreement with Liverpool for the club to sell him in January, which means a move when the window reopens is likely.

"When they were talking about the fee for him if Barcelona or etc were going to try and buy him, £130-£140m, the only thing you would say is 'is he going to get enough goals to warrant that?' In this form, it suggests yes". What will happen in January, we will know it in January.

The Liverpool playmaker also confirmed that Barcelona made attempts to sign him in the summer.

'Last summer there was a job offer in the same way that happens with any employee and I was interested in it. "Since I stayed I have played with will and desire", continued the 25-year old, shifting the conversation towards more manageable territory. Barcelona saw three bids rejected by Liverpool last summer, but the La Liga favourites are expected to be back for Coutinho in January.

"Jurgen Klopp has done little to quash the rumours when asked whether the Brazilian would be at Liverpool in February, yet further indication that Coutinho is destined to bid farewell to Anfield". I don't know if there will be an offer.
