Huddersfield end away drought in style with win at Watford

Laurent Depoitre's second goal in as many matches five minutes after the restart appeared to put Huddersfield out of reach, only for Jonathan Hogg's red card to hand Watford a lifeline.

However, the visitors added a late fourth as Mooy converted a penalty after Doucoure fouled Depoitre in the area. For Huddersfield, David Wagner made four changes.

Matters soon got worse for the Hornets when captain Deeney saw red having lunged in recklessly from behind on Quaner.

But any hopes of an unlikely comeback were extinguished with a minute of normal time remaining as Doucoure brought down Depoitre inside the box, allowing Mooy to step up and stroke his spot-kick beyond Gomes. We know for sure that they aren't in the best form when you look at the results they got, and we know they have some suspensions and injury problems.

'We have to be focused on ourselves.

"I can not talk about the attitude of the players".

Huddersfield Town have compounded Watford's current Premier League malaise with a 4-1 away win at Vicarage Road.

And Wagner believes the nature of the Premier League means his men need to prepare to face Watford as though they were Chelsea.

Elias Kachunga scored his first Premier League goal when he tapped in from close range after Watford had failed to clear a corner.

Watford's third red card in three games soon made matters more hard for the hosts, Deeney receiving his marching orders after 33 minutes for a high challenge on Collin Quaner.

Watford now have exactly the same record after 18 games this season as they did under Walter Mazzarri last season (W6 D4 L8 - 22 points). "When you have lots of games in a row it's normal to have fatigue in some players".

The Australia worldwide midfielder was involved in Kachunga's contentious opener before being in the right place to guide in his side's second midway through the first half, but it was his overall display which made him stand out.
