Jimmy Kimmel's baby son has successful second heart surgery

Although the second procedure was scheduled to occur in October when Billy reached 6 months old, the operation was postponed as a precaution when he caught a cold.

Jimmy Kimmel's seven-month-old son Billy underwent a second successful heart surgery on Monday (04Dec17).

Billy was born last April with heart defects that required surgery immediately after his birth to fix a blocked pulmonary valve, allowing blood to reach his lungs to be reoxygenated.

On Monday, a press release from ABC revealed that Billy had just had another "scheduled and successful heart surgery".

Jimmy Kimmel is off his show this week, but it's for a good reason. Chris Pratt was the week's first guest host, and lucky for him, the musical guest was Chris Stapleton. Celebrity guest hosts, starting with actor Chris Pratt, will fill in during Kimmel's absence. After spinning the "Wheel of Cheesy Duets", a legendary song from "Dirty Dancing" popped up.

Unfortunately, Pratt had a hard time carrying Stapleton.

Pratt also had a conversation with Robbie, who said that she started working at a restaurant in Australia at age 10. Neil Patrick Harris will headline the talk show on Wednesday.
