Late-night hosts poke fun at Trump's slurred speech

As President Donald Trump ended his big speech on recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and announcing the U.S. would move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, people pointed out that he appeared to be struggling to deliver his final words.

"The White House blamed Trump's slurred speech on a dry throat".

The president's difficulty getting his words out Wednesday led to speculation on social media that Trump wears false teeth. "I'm saying there's nothing to it".

Some people, including "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah, speculated that this was because Trump had dentures. "It's like someone hit him with a blow dart just before he went out to make the speech". But the pronunciation of those words appeared to slur.

"We all know what's going on here; President Trump is wearing dentures, people", Noah continued, explaining he's seen this type of dental malfunction before on his own grandfather.

"Because he's vain as hell", Noah said. "His dentures would start falling out and then he wouldn't be able to finish his sentence". There's nothing to be ashamed of about having dentures at Trump's age, for example, and if that were the case, it would likely reassure people who had concerns that it might be something more serious.

"He managed to get every word in the speech right, except the last one", Colbert said during CBS's "The Late Show". "We're live when Trump addresses a joint session of Congress for the "Shshh" of the Union". He said it's okay for everyone else to use dentures, but not Trump. "You know what it seemed like the whole time?"
