Man Utd´s Matic refuses to concede in Premier League title race

The Red Devils may trail Manchester City in the Premier League by 14 points ahead of their match with the Baggies on Sunday, but Pardew believes that the Portuguese's pragmatic style has allowed him to be the game's best trophy victor.

"The gap is big, obviously 11 points is a lot, but the league is not finished", Matic told Sky Sports.

"Midfielder Nemanja Matic echoed his team mate's sentiments and does not believe the title race is over despite last Sunday's Manchester derby defeat. I am of the opinion there's beauty in the game at both ends of the pitch".

"We go to their place first and we know we'll have to perform just how Manchester United can perform and, if we get a good result over there, hopefully we can bring them back to Old Trafford and do the business and qualify".

All in all, I think that there is no real value in betting on Manchester United to win this game so I think we should avoid that bet.

"Every game that's how we've got to enter it".

Manchester City have won their 16th consecutive game in the English Premier League after they beat Tottenham 4-1.

West Brom have problems at the opposite end of the table as Alan Pardew's side now sit 19th in the division after failing to win any of their last 16 league games.

Unfortunately for the Red Devils, they are now without the services of Paul Pogba - with the French midfielder, who has already missed 12 games through injury this season, serving a three-match ban. No doubt the draw at Anfield will have boosted their confidence but I can still see United easing to a 2-0 win tomorrow. "So of course we miss him, but we also have some very important players to substitute him", Matic said.

"Obviously when he comes back, for sure we are going to be stronger because as you know he has a lot of quality and he is very important to the club".
